Owen Pelkey is a Fashion and Fragrance Creative Director based in Savannah, GA.
My name is Owen Pelkey and I was born and raised in a (very) small town in Vermont. From an early age, I've always been interested in creative hobbies, whether it was choir, band, performing, and eventually fashion. Fashion has always been an outlet for me to express myself and find confidence in who I am. This passion led me to attend the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), where I'm currently a senior majoring in Fashion Marketing and Management and minoring in Fragrance Marketing and Management. Currently, I'm on track to graduate in the spring of 2022.
While at SCAD, I've had so many opportunities to enrich my learning and life skills, with one of my proudest moments being studying abroad in Hong Kong in the fall of 2019. While there, I was able to study under fashion industry leaders in Hong Kong, and expand my knowledge and experience while traveling there. I've also had the opportunity to be a SCAD Senior Collection Model and have worked on many extensive projects at SCAD, that have helped me expand my skills and knowledge on fashion and fragrance brands and the industry itself.
In my work, I take all my experiences with me as inspiration to make a connection with my audience. I believe that listening to your audience, having empathy, and developing trust is key to creating work that is authentic, real, and personable.
